Our Story

Discover the vision and mission, and the dedicated team behind Pulaski County Sports & Entertainment.

The Pulaski County Sports & Entertainment Authority (STEA) was created in 2024 in order to oversee a growing list of facilities, including historic Calfee Park, the Pulaski County Motorsports Park, the fields at Randolph Park, and the new Pulaski County Sportsplex, and to establish the Pulaski County as a premier destination for sports and entertainment, where world-class facilities and events, outdoor recreation and adventure, and rich culture combine to help create memorable experiences that drive economic growth.

The STEA is led by Tim Miller, a veteran sports and entertainment professional who has more than 25 years of experience across sponsorship, marketing, media, event development, and venue management. Tim has developed and produced numerous local, national and international events, including the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia.

Vision & Mission

The Pulaski County Sports & Entertainment Authority has a dual vision and mission focused on both the economic impact of hosting, supporting, and producing tournaments and events that bring visitors to the region, and curating programs and experiences that benefit the local community, through a strategic partnership with the department of Parks & Recreation.

Vision

To position Pulaski County as a premier destination for sports and entertainment, where world-class facilities, outdoor recreation and adventure, and our rich history combine to create memorable experiences that drive economic growth and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

Mission

The Pulaski County Sports & Entertainment Authority’s (STEA) mission is to drive economic growth by promoting Pulaski County as a premier destination for sports and entertainment. In order to accomplish this mission, the STEA is focused on:

  • Maximizing the utilization of the county’s sports and entertainment facilities, and outdoor recreation assets, by bidding on, supporting, and producing events that generate increased overnight visitation and local spend.
  • Delivering a world-class experience to athletes, parents, officials, event organizers, entertainers, county citizens and everyone that attends an event in Pulaski County.
  • Working in partnership with the Pulaski County Parks and Recreation Department (PCPR) to ensure that the local community benefits from the facilities, events and programs of the STEA and PCPR
